Dr. Edward D. Williams
Dr. Edward D. Williams is the Executive Director of Foot and Ankle Associates, Inc.
He has been in practice for 33 years treating patients in Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico.He is a graduate of the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his post-graduate surgical training at the University Heights Hospital through the California College of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr Williams is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics.
Dr. Williams is the past president of the New Mexico Podiatric Medical Association. He is presently the Secretary Treasurer of the New Mexico Board of Podiatry appointed by both Governors Johnson and Richardson.
The goal of Dr. Williams and staff is to keep people walking at their work and play activities comfortably. This leads to a stronger heart, better circulation and helps keep weight under control.
Dr. William Blake
Dr. William J. Blake joined Foot and Ankle Associates in 2004. Prior to practicing in Santa Fe, he practiced in Albuquerque. He has extensive training in all aspects of foot and ankle care ranging from complex ankle reconstruction to common everyday heel or toe pain. His expertise is in foot and ankle trauma, diabetic salvage and wound care, sports medicine. He also treats pediatric foot and ankle problems. His philosophy is to educate his patients in order to help them choose the best treatment options on an individual basis.
Dr. Blake went to medical school in Chicago, Illinois where he graduated from The Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. His post-graduate residency and fellowship training was completed in Miami, Florida. He has spent volunteer time with the Yucatan Crippled Children’s Project in Merida, Mexico and has assisted with an FDA investigation on total ankle joint replacements. He is presently Board Qualified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He has lectured on ankle joint replacement, diabetic prevention and salvage techniques, running injuries, and trauma of the foot and ankle.
Pat Roybal - Office Manager
My name is Pat Roybal and I am the office manager for Foot and Ankle Associates, Inc. I have been with Foot and Ankle Associates, Inc. since August of 1999. My experience in the medical field has spanned over 25 years, from a registered, certified radiological technologist, medical biller and collector, to the field of medical administration. I enjoy working with people and problem solving any situation that comes along.
I am originally from Southern California, born and raised prior to moving to New Mexico in 1997 to be closer to my immediate family.
I am blessed to have both parents alive and well, 2 brothers, 1 sister, 2 sister-in-laws and 4 nieces, all residing in Las Vegas, N.M.
My passion is spending as much time as possible with my family. I enjoy bike riding, hiking, and walking my Chihuahua-mix dog "Midnight". I love the beauty and warmth of the people in New Mexico. Foot and Ankle presents that same sense of warmth and closeness of family.
Carolyn Salazar - Clinical Manager
Hello, Let me introduce myself, my name is Carolyn and I am a Certified Clinical Nursing Assistant in New Mexico. I have three years of medical experience, and two of the three years I worked with an Endocrinologist specializing in patients with Diabetic problems. Working with patients all day and making a difference in their lives creates a real personal job satisfaction in what I do.
I truly enjoy working with patients and staff to provide a positive work environment and to provide quality care to all our patients.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with friends, family, and my new Yorkie puppy. I have chosen to work with this organization and my training and skills help provide the quality service that is expected from Foot and Ankle Associates, Inc.
Kerrie Ornelas - Administrative Assistant and Surgery Coordinator
My name is Kerrie Ornelas. I have been a medical assistant for 12 years. I have held many positions including back office, running and maintaining a lab, assisting in phones, insurance verification, authorizations and records. I was previously employed with a Family Practice and Homeopathic physician in Phoenix, Arizona for 7 years where I ran his back office.
I was born in Fairfield, Iowa and moved to Arizona when I was 10. I met my husband 10 years ago. I have 4 children, Kristy – 18, Joseph- 16, Gabriela – 7 and Valentin – 2. My husband, children and I moved to Santa Fe 1 ½ years ago to be closer to his family and let our children get to know their grandparents.
I have joined the team of Foot and Ankle Associated for their experience and dedication to their patients and staff. I believe that everything we do has an effect on everyone we come in contact with and I hope to make all life’s experiences as good as possible.
Eloisa Austin - Marketing Director
I come with 30 years Hospital and Physician Practice Experience, recently with Presbyterian Medical Group, as Practice manager for several medical offices. I have also worked at St. Vincent Hospital for 22 years in different capacities, 17 years in Medical Records as a Coding Specialist, Clerical Manager and then as a Health Information Manager.
Originally from NM, graduated form Pojaque High and went to Santa Fe Community College for Business Administration. I enjoy traveling, gardening and spending time with my family. I am the proud mother of four children and grandmother of two.
I have wanted to work for an organization with a positive reputation for quality service and I take pride and look for jobs that will provide job satisfaction. I am honored to be working with a professional and competent staff as is found with the Foot and Ankle Associates, Inc.
Mary Louise Gallegos - Medical Assistant
I graduated from Robertson High School and went to nursing school at Luna Community College. I have been in the medical field for many years.
I have worked in Ob-Gyn, Dermatology, Urology and most recently Podiatry. I work in Foot and Ankle Associates Las Vegas and Raton offices. In the office I do maintance care for diabetics, diabetic foot evaluations, vascular studies, e-rays, ulcer care, wound care and taping. My certifications include Vascular studies and Wound vac-care.
My hobbies include spending time with my family, wood working and gardening.
Bea Aguilar - Medical Assistant
Hello my name is Bea Aguilar. I work as a Medical Technician with Foot and Ankle Associates. I am a registered Medical Assistant and currently working on my nursing degree. Foot and Ankle Associates have given me a whole different experience and the quality of care is exceptional. I enjoy working with this group and it gives me a sense of accomplishment in regards to patient care.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my dear husband, Michael, and our kids. My hobbies include aerobic exercises and visiting with my sisters.
Tammy Aguilar - Medical Assistant
My name is Tammy Aguilar. I am the Clinical Manager for Foot and Ankle Associates, Inc. I've been registered in Medical Assistance through the State of New Mexico for eleven (11) years and hold an Associate Degree in Spanish.
My past experiences include Labor and Delivery, Newborn Nursery Internal Medicine Endocrinology. My special interests include spending time with family and friends, cooking, water sports and Spanish translation.
I am very proud to be part of this competent and caring team who offer the best level of patient care.
Geneva Garduno - Receptionist
I have been with Foot and Ankle Associates since September 2003 as receptionist for the Las Vegas and Raton Office.
Past experiences include, Principal's Secretary at Robertson High School for approximately 12 years and District Engineer's Administrator and District Training Coordinator for the NM Department of Transportation District 4 Office in Las Vegas for 19 years. I retired from state government in December 2002. I held the position of receptionist at QuickCare of Las Vegas (urgent care facility) until my employment with Foot and Ankle Associates.
My favorite pastimes are reading, walking, and spending quality time with my family especially my daughter who is a Nursing Student, and son who is a Civil Engineer with a designing firm.
Marie Elena Barrientes
My name is Marie Elena Barrientes – I prefer to be called Elena due to the millions of “Maria’s” out there!! I was born in Texas, grew up in the state of Washington and lived 22 years in New York City. My first medical office experience was at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NYC. Most of my background has been as an Administrative Secretary. Since moving to Santa Fe, New Mexico I have worked mostly in a medical environment.
I have been married 34 years and all of my spare time is spent with my husband Joe. We enjoy working in our yard and we have a Chihuahua-mix who we call Chacha. My husband is an avid golfer and I am learning to play golf, but prefer to try out new recipes. My favorite hobby is “shopping, shopping and more shopping.” As I get older I am more optimistic, I always look for the good in a bad situation and in people.
