Doctor Jason W. Rockwood is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.  He is Board Certified in Foot Surgery and in Reconstructive Hindfoot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Rockwood treats all aspects of the foot and ankle and is on staff at all local area hospitals.  He plays a vital role in allowing our practice to treat many of the simple and complex ailments of the lower extremity.  He performs surgery at local hospitals and surgical centers in the area.  His personality and expertise are a great asset to Foot and Ankle Associates, Inc.
Dr. Rockwood joined Foot and Ankle Associates, Inc. in June of 2009.  He completed his undergraduate studies, Bachelor of Science (BS), at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in 1996.  Following his undergraduate studies he attending medical school at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, California.
During his four years in medical school he also completed a Master's degree in Medical Education.  His final year of clinical training was completed at Yale University and the New Haven Veterans Hospital in Connecticut.  He was awarded a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) and Master of Science (MS) in medical education in June of 2000.
Following medical school, Dr. Rockwood completed a one-year clinical and surgical preceptorship in New Haven, Connecticut, with New Haven Foot Surgeons and the Connecticut Foot Surgery Center.   His training continued in Miami, Florida at Palmetto General Hospital.  Dr. Rockwood completed a one-year internship and a three-year surgical residency in foot and ankle trauma and reconstruction while in Miami.  His training was augmented with international surgical experience in Mexico, Puerto Rico, The Dominican Republic, Argentina, Guatemala, Germany and Russia.
During his residency training Dr. Rockwood was exposed to all aspects of lower extremity trauma and reconstruction in both pediatrics and adults.  He received additional training in external fixation techniques and total ankle replacement surgery. 
Dr. Rockwood was invited to participate in advance training in trauma and lower extremity deformity correction and reconstruction in Kurgan, Russia.  He completed a Masters Fellowship at the Russian Ilizarov Scientific Center for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopedics in Kurgan.
Upon completion of his training, Dr. Rockwood has practice in Miami, Florida and most recently in Kalispell, Montana.
Dr. Rockwood is originally from Lake Oswego, Oregon and has lived in Idaho, Northern Chile, Utah, California, Connecticut, Florida and Montana.  He is fluent in conversational and medical Spanish.  His family includes his wife, the former JennyLynn Richards, and children Madelynn, Lynsey, Jake and Emily.  Dr. Rockwood is an avid golfer and skier.  His free time is spent enjoying life with his family and extended family.
